Fulham V Tottenham Hotspur: View from the fans

This lunchtime Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur travel to Craven Cottage to face Fulham for a place in the quarter-finals of the FA Cup. Could another shock be on the cards? Today I give you the thoughts and opinions from Fulham and Tottenham fans with their perspective on the game.

  • SPURS FANS

@AndySpurs72 – ‘I’m hoping Spurs go with a strong line up against Fulham. We are just two wins from a Wembley Semi-Final, which is a great day out for the fans, and we really need to try and win a trophy. For a lot of fans winning a trophy is more important than finishing in the top four.’

@geofftheyido – ‘Hope Poch plays a strong side. Fulham won’t be a push over at home.’

@Phillip – ‘Surely we have to go all out saying we have got fortunate with the draw. I personally believe our chances of winning the FA Cup are fat better than the Europa League. Let’s go full strength against Fulham.’

@jack_hopwood – ‘Important game. Like to see us win the FA Cup.’

@ttimbertoony – ‘Spurs will need to put out a strong team to overcome Fulham. Good chance in the Cup this year if we do.’

@FreddieNx – ‘Poch said the other week that he wanted Spurs to start winning trophies. My advice to him would be to play his strongest side as I believe this is a winnable tournament and will set a bench mark for us to go on to greater things. Finishing in the top 4 is crucial to the board at Spurs but no one will remember this side for only participating in the Champions League.

@LongLiveTheLane – ‘Personally Spurs should go for the FA Cup, a few games away from the final and a great chance to win a trophy with the squad.’

@Chirpygeezer – ‘A tough game for Spurs. No matter what anyone says, confidence is low. We tend to play our style which only works when we have a full, in form, squad.

@Jack_P_Lee – ‘As the Premier League looks less likely, the FA Cup should be something we aim for. Fulham shouldn’t be undervalued though.’

  • FULHAM FANS

@HammyEnd – ‘The game will be a real test for Fulham, given Tottenham’s excellent domestic form, and a real barometer of how far Slavisa Jokanovic’s side have improved this year. Fulham look an excellent side when they have the time to pick a pass and play their pretty football. Much will depend on what sort of side Spurs put out – but for the first time in a while Fulham can be confident of giving a top side a game. It will also, be nice to welcome Dembele back to Craven Cottage.’

@obeales82 – ‘Fulham comfortable playing footballing sides so won’t fear Spurs who will have to go strong with their team selection.’

@jwooding89 – ‘We’re dangerous at home and keep possession well. Interesting to see what type of team Spurs put out.’

@FulhamNiceGuys – ‘Fulham are the Spurs of the Championship. Neat attractive football, unfortunately inconsistency in defence effecting our promotion chances. Predicting a very close game, especially if Spurs focus on the Europa League ties.’

@samlockheart1 – ‘Fulham are definitely up there with one of the best footballing sides in the division. If we’re on out day we’re up for a game.’

@mobzc – If we play anywhere near as good as we can we have a great chance, hope the manager doesn’t change too much.’

@scubasteve1414 – ‘Two great footballing teams in their own divisions, both probably under performing. High scoring, open play, maybe an upset.

@thomasosulli – ‘We like to play a possession game with patient build up play, main issue being a lack of shooting.’
