Aston Villa make 4 changes from the defeat against Cardiff City. Sam Johnstone who has signed on loan from Manchester United makes his debut in goal for the visitors. However, Steve Bruce believes they can get a victory today and even go on to win the FA Cup, but admits it will be very tough.

“It’s hard because the first match is against one of the best teams in Europe at their own ground. The FA Cup gives you a chance to win something and we can win five games and get there. It’s a difficult challenge but we will try our utmost to get through to the next round. We all know that a day out at Wembley is fantastic for the club – and the supporters, of course.”

—————————————————————————————————————-

Spurs making 9 changes from the victory against Chelsea but it was expected as Mauricio Pochettino believed some players need rest. However, he believes it will be a tough game and one they shouldn’t take lightly.

“We need to measure the level of the players and to assess them properly not only physically but mentally as well. Some players need rest. Sure, we’ll make some changes. They struggled from the beginning of the season but now it’s Steve Bruce and a team that can fight for promotion again. It’s a long way to the end of the season but they have the possibility to push up the table. They are a good team with very good players, many players who played in the Premier League. It’s a big club and it will be a tough game. It’s a special competition and one game.”
